Under the Arqus European University Alliance, two calls for applications have been published which invite researchers from our university to apply for research stays at the Arqus partner universities in Lyon, Granada, Padua, Graz, Bergen and Vilnius: “Research Exchange” and “Doctoral Group Site Visits and Joint Workshops”.

Research Exchange

To encourage cooperation between researchers from partner universities and also to initiate cooperation with co-advisers for the qualification of doctoral researchers at one of the partner universities, funding is available for:

  • Doctoral researchers and master’s students who use a research stay to prepare their dissertation / master’s thesis (e.g. to train new research methods or use specific resources such as archives, laboratories) (two weeks to three months, pro rata financial support of up to 1200 euros per month)
  • Senior researchers (from postdoc level) (two to four weeks, pro rata financial support of up to 1500 euros per month)

  • The research stays must take place between 1 October 2020 and 30 September 2021.
  • The closing date for applications is 30 August 2020.
