The Research Academy views the promotion of gender equality as a top priority. The Research Academy’s Equal Opportunity Programme is devoted to this effort.
The Research Academy has developed and implemented measure for ensuring gender equality. In so doing, it pursues two primary objectives: first, the enforcement of equal opportunities for female and male doctoral researchers and postdocs and second the introduction of family-friendly structures.
We offer infant care, flexible childcare during conferences and workshops, as well as coaching and workshops concerning equality issues. The Katharina-Windscheid-prize is awarded annually to a doctoral researcher at the Research Academy whose dissertation was completed under exceptional life circumstances and who deserve recognition for promoting gender equality and family friendliness in research.
